I am trying to find out what this silver plated teardrop looking thing is.

Tried posting on todays finds not knowing this thread was here. Maybe someone can tell me what this teardrop is. Looks like this is silver plate on it. Im sure its not much but would like to know what it is. Maybe it was some bling on a belt or muskett or uniform. I tried searching on the internet but got nowhere. Anyway thanks for looking.

first pic looks like a lead fishing weight, the others don't seem to match the first one,

but eyes aren't what use to be.

Could it be an embossment from a belt or something? Think along the lines of the modern studded/spike belts, collars etc.

yep cru thinks it came off a 18th c saddle. Thats what it looks like to me. Thsnks
