Officially I have a problem... I could not resist and went for a half hour. I saw above freezing readings and hoped for looser soil. No such luck. I only jack hammered about 5 holes total but happened upon this '46 Rosie. It rang in at a shaky 12-44/45 but I remembered what Vino told me about a 12-45 almost always being a Merc and went for it.

She's rough and had so much crud that I thought she was a wheatie. One small shiny edge gave her away.

Might be the ugliest Roosevelt dime ever posted here on TN. BUTconsidering you were digging in concrete practically, and you braved the cold, it had to look mighty pretty to you coming out of the frozen clod.

Ugly yes, but I felt like Will Ferrell in this Step Brothers movie clip when I unearthed it.
