I.D. help pleae

Hello T-Net folks! I hope everyone has a prosperous and happy New Year. I found this fossil about 40 years ago in upstate New York, near the Canadian border. It was laying in a creek. I have never been able to figure out what it is, I hope you highly knowledgeable folks can finally solve the riddle for me! Thanks for taking the time to look. Randy....

This appears to be a brachiopod, Strophonella sp., showing the pedicle-valve interior.

Silurian (419 to 443 Ma) is my guess. Do some research on the geology of that part of NY.
