I didn't even find enough to pay for my chap stick
The Corpus Christi club held their monthly hunt Sat. at Packary Channel, the few brave souls that ventured into the bitting wind found the beach to be clean except for a little clad. Although I am not a member of the CC Club, my brother is and I tagged along on this hunt. Dressed in jeans and a long sleeve shirt then a warm up set over it and a jacket with my face completely covered(still got wind burned and need to carry chapstick with me), I wandered the beach front hoping that the recent reopening of the channel, dredging and activity would be promising. The beach being isolated except for us poor souls gave me an image of what life probably once was like along this desert looking land. The metal detecting gods did not smile down on us that day and I believe them to be especially peeved at me for some unknown reason. At the end of the day after being at packary channel, and the bayfront in CC, my grand total was 22cents all pennies a 45cal casing, some type of lead balance strip, and a thin small metal star. Its days like these that I remind myself why I enjoy relic hunting so much, at least you will find something interesting, even if you don't know what it is.
Note for imafishingnut:::: No pics attached its just too painful(another reason we don't always post pics. I personally don't want to ever see those 22 salt encrusted pennies again myself)
