What's new

I envy you my American friends!

Grizzly bears can't climb trees, Black bears climb trees like cats, Polar bears usually live where there are no trees for miles. Respond to a charge accordingly.

I like that sign Stefen. I thought that was true about the bear bells we sell.

Grizzly bears are omnivors. They will eat vegetable matter such as berries, and they will eat meat and people have been eaten in whole or part by them. They will also eat fish and have been known to eat elk or deer that they usually chance upon that have been killed by other carnivors. I have seen films of Grizzly or Brown bears that show them killing an elk and caching the carcas after they have eaten their fill. They will also guard their cached meat and protect it. There is a name for people that don't believe they will eat you. The name is dinner! Monty

I believe something has been missed in this discussion of firearms. We in America have the "Right To Keep And Bear Arms". Unfortunately Canada doesnt. That right wasnt inserted for defending yourself against bears, boars or rabid dogs. Its for keeping the government in check. Its not that I mind killing a bear or other creature for self defense or food but originally the right we have was for keeping the government under control. Arming yourselves against beasts is just icing on the cake.

" No Free Man Shall Ever Be Debarred The Use Of Arms" Thomas Jefferson 1776

We need more men like our Founding Fathers now. From the truck driver all the way up to the White House.
God Bless America

"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act of depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest." - Ghandi

This subject is near and dear to my heart; living in close proximity to the Mex. border there are many dangers out in the desert. Even the Border Patrol has come under fire here and we have even lost a few to bandit drug runners who would just as soon shoot you as look at you.

I take NO chances when out and about; I've had my concealed carry license for several years now and never go out without being armed, not even in town. There are some who would call me 'paranoid'. I consider my self 'prepared'; I refuse to be a helpless victim. The News Papers are full of articles of those who were unprepared and ended up paying the ultimate price. I won't go out that way; pleading on my knees. They may get me in the end, but they'll damn sure know they were in a fight. Especially if I can take one or two with me!!!

I'd rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six.....Azman... >:(

"The right to keep and bear arms shall NOT be infringed."

I live in west central Idaho, we are a "Shall Issue" state.
I am too old to fight and too young to die.
Yes, I carry, and have had to defend my rights, to person and property, several times.
The "Bear Business" isn't a problem, where I currently reside.
But, we do have a "Two Legged Feral Critter" problem here abouts.
Some are light skinned, some are brown skinned and speak Spanish.
We refer to them as roaming criminals.
They are fair game when they present their nefarious intentions.
'Nuff said.
