As some of you know I had surgery on my right hand/wrist in late July. I figured that if I had to have the surgery, I'd schedule it in the summer when there are not as many opportunities to detect. Sunday I got out for only the second time since the surgery. I didn't set the world on fire, but I did manage to get a decent 1847 Large Cent, 5 flat buttons, and an intact suspender buckle in about 3 hours of hunting on an old standby site. It was good to get out swinging the coil and digging a few holes!

Quindy, I am not quite ready my friend. I was sore all over on Monday when I woke up, especially my right shoulder. I definitely am not in digging shape yet!

get well Stevie and good hunting to ya this fall season dude :o diggin' with an injury is hardcore .... many do all the time ,, shows character but don't over do it !

Nice outing Steve. I assume you're not having any wrist problems with swinging so hopefully you're back to normal (or even better).

I recently had back surgery in January, I found detecting is the best therapy if your careful. Excellent finds. Congrats.

Steve,
That's a GREAT return hunt there. Very nice finds. The suspender buckle is top notch. :occasion14:
Welcome back and I wish you all the best on your own recovery.

Good hunt, Steve! I'm glad to see that you'll be able to hunt for a long time before the snow comes.

Good stuff. The suspended buckle with the design is great

Great finds Steve, the fact that you got out swinging again is the important part

No doubt that is a great day of detecting, Steve! Glad your hand is improving.... and getting back in shape just in time for the fall hunts.

Glad your surgery went well Steve, and that your almost back into the swing of things. Pretty soon you will have to go up a shirt size due to oversized shoulders. Time, time, time... I see you had a very productive three hours of hunting, glad you got over some good targets on your second outing. Looking forward to your Fall posts there bud. Talk with you soon... Art
