I found a Bullet in my yard

I found this in my back yard. First I thought it was a bullet fishing weight. Than I cleaned all the dirt off, it's a bullet but, I don't know how old it is or what caliber it is.

It's amazing what we often find in the most unlikely of places!
Looks to me like a common 38 bullet but cast not jacketed?

The history of this area; it was all woods before this neighborhood was build here and there was a battle 2 miles away (revolutionary war) the Battle of Cooch’s Bridge, September 3, 1777.

If you had battles in your area from the 1700's the bullets would be round lead balls.

Every trip to the desert I go to. I will come back with a pocket full of bullets, the biggest was an M 20. and Some that could have belonged to some old cowboys.

And a Cooch still lives in that house. No visitors on the site! Private Property and a Historical site. NO MDing.
