I found a Gun and...

A whole lot of junk! Mostly shotgun shells. The toy gun was found next to a Railroad that was abandoned in the early 1800's. An historical map showed what was probably a house but there was nothing but trees and brush now.

I think you are right! The trigger is stuck but hammer still moves. It would strike a flat surface the size of a cap.

Guess what... The gun is a rare GOLD Buccaneer that fires with a cap! Can you believe it! My gold streak continues! Should I go back and look for the ramrod?

I wonder what the ramrod is made of? I had the excal discriminating out iron. I hit God knows how many iron targets, way more than I wanted to dig. I did dig a gazillion shotgun shells. Everything was at least 8" deep in hard soil!
