Well, three quarters of one anyway!
I saw this older looking school building this evening on my way home from a job in a neighboring town. I had a little while before dark and my detector in back seat so I said to myself, what the hay! I only detected a couple of minutes along the grassy strip between the school and the curb where I was parked and got a loud hit on my Cibola. I cut a plug ( it wasn't very deep) and first thought it was some kind of scrap metal
but after washing it off with some bottled water from the truck I realized it was a MORGAN DOLLAR!!!!!! An 1897-O. It looks like it had a close encounter with a lawn mower
I searched a few minutes more hoping to find the "other quarter" but to no avail
only can slaw.
Must have been a very powerful lawn mower!
My first real (not a fake) found Morgan dollar.
