I Found Something Extremely Mega Rare Today

[AusTexDude]

This is a gem. You will probably never see one like it again. Circa 1940s-1950s Fully auto cap gun made by an LA company called Cordelco.
I can not find a single image of this toy online. I used eBay, Google, and 2 different AI models. Nothing zilch.

The only refs to this I found were 2 newspaper clippings from the mid 50s mentioning the company.

[AusTexDude]

This is also one of the first plastic mold injection cap guns ever made in history.

Probably still a few out there in Toy Collections, Antique Stores, and attics.
Although probably a lot of them were stepped on, crushed and then thrown away.
Nice find

The winder winds but the feed wheel is stuck.

Do they even make cap guns anymore?
A cap gun was an automatic buy every 4 months or so back in the day. Usually they got stepped on or crushed somehow. Never really had the good ones, although I did have 2 six shooter cap guns as a kid.

🤣

[unclemac]

my favorite, it actually shot spring loaded plastic bullets, with a red stick on cap on the shell.
