... Haven't dug one of these for years. Use to find quite a few hunting farms, fields and old roads in rural Maryland and Pennsylvania back in the 60's and 70's. This one was found today on a city lot in Charlottesville, VA. Gave it a good bath in the Ultrasonic Cleaner and coated it with a thin coat of mineral oil.

Forgot to mention this was my first trip out in a LOOOOONG time and the first find for me in 2018.

I live about an hour away from Kalamazoo and have never found one of these. Neat find.

Good to see your still around and swinging Rob.

The only tags I find in Florida are Cremation tags...and they're bad luck and need to be thrown back into the ocean. Neat find.

What a great little find !

Good to see your still around and swinging Rob.

Thanks Ron .. I don't really get out much any more, but I'm still alive and kicking. I hope to get out a bit more as the weather and time permits. How about you? Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

That's some mighty interesting history, Jeff! Thanks for posting it!

I think that fell off my first car. Awesome find!

Thank you all for your nice comments. That is one thing I really like about this forum. People share in and enjoy the most trivial finds all the way up to the most significant finds, and I find that to be refreshing. Thanks again everybody.
