I hit a flea market today looking for vintage photographs. I was going to a box of ten cent snapshots and other paper items and came across this.

I asked to owner how much she wanted for it and she told me ten cents. She then told me that it was given to her for Christmas and she wasn't into angels but didn't want to throw it away, so I bought it for a dime. Not bad...Now if it just would have been a $100.00!

Doug

I was thinking about peeling off the decal and spending it but I think I will leave it on there for someone else to find.

I remember this as being called the "Kennedy dollar". On the left side you have the letter K in a black ring that says "Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Texas". Then you have the initial K at the beginning of the serial number and J at the end. Also you have the four 11's at the corners, which added together = 44, how old JFK was when he was assassinated. :o Anyone else remember this bit of nonsense?

Haha..I just read something about that...its crazy

I would have bought it for a dime, then picked out 9 more pictures, paid her with the dollar, and then made her give me my dime back.

(Not really.)
