Log 1, Tractor 0! Thankfully you weren't hurt! Go to Plan B!

LOL.. I am not even sure what Plan B will be at this point. A 2 ton come-along wouldn't budge it.

Wheres Pual Bunyon when you need him lol

Looks like you will have to settle for Creskol Bunyon

Good luck with that. Hydraulic jack, and lots of blocks.

I buried a Case 450 track loader in the Iowa mud long time ago. It took big wrecker to drag it out.

yup that little ford no match for heap big timber. Good luck creskol

I had it almost on the mill bed, and the dirt that I was using as a ramp gave away under the front wheels. That caused the log to roll off the mill and over the blade wedging itself between the blade and the tractor. Now it is stuck fast, and haven’t figured out how to deal with it yet.

That's a bummer! Can you jack up the sides one at a time and raise the ramp up a bit at a time? Do this so the log will easily roll back on to the mill.

Time to get out the old black powder wedges an blow that puppy to kingdom come..... not the tractor of course..... he he

With the aid of cribbing, two jacks, a bunch of chains, and a come-along, I was able to get the tractor out, so half of the problem is solved.

can you get to the other side and wrap
a chain around it a few times,so went you pull it it rolls.
good luck brad

Looks to me like you need a bigger tractor. This would be about right for what you're trying to do. I've got a chainsaw mill and do a little milling myself. Gary

I must say though..it looks like fun to play with...although it does look like work too.

or dig holes for the posts and tires and lower your machine.
