This morning i knocked on the door of a permission to announce my arrival. The man (a renter)answered the door and told me the owner did not want me to search the yard because of (Liability) issues. yea yea yea...i get it....the Beal treasure is buried in the back yard.

Without missing a beat, i thanked the man for his time and beat feet back to the car.

Within an hour I secured another permission and promptly got to work.

Total dig time...5 hours.

Total coin count...96

Not sure what this cow thingy is..its very large and heavy.
Looks to have been attached to something.

Nothing on the back...i am thinking it may be a belt buckle.



As for the dog licence...its a new one from 2006.
My oldest dog licence is from 1908

Very nice tag! I was thinking of making a display of just my dog tags. I have found enough of them over the years for sure.

I love tags myself especially that 1908!!! I don’t have enough to display but I’m working on it. I did find a earlier one. My eyes are getting bad 1922

That is another very nice tag! I tend to find my tags in city parks and at permissions in town. I don't think i have ever found a tag in the country.

Both of mine were from City Park in New Orleans
