In MI and new. Had a MD when I was a kid (cheapo from radio shack) and found some coins with it. So I guess I've always had the bug, just finally decided to pull the trigger and do something about it. Happy hunting everyone.

That is the same way I got started in metal detecting. A $30.00 special from Radio Shack that I saved for (took awhile). I found a silver ring with it under a tree and have been hooked for life.
