Here's my best advice: I would LEAVE the area because of what I saw in the 1st photo. If you have to take an assault rifle with you on a treasure hunt, it would be best to give up treasure hunting.

A lot of times Native American Tribes would leave cryptic location or directional markers (cryptic to whites not natives) to indicate something of importance, a watering hole, a meeting place, a nearby trail etc. Probably what those are as well
