Hello Everyone...... This first what is it, I thought at first was an effigy pipe, but as I studied it closer, the hole that is going thru would not allow this to work cause you would always be burning your mouth from whatever you may be smoking in it, but you can tell that the hole is not water wore, so give a gal a clue to what it is or tell me I was right in my own thoughts...

The second one, I have my own thoughts but shaky on them...This piece is 11" in length and is made of band slate and what may be throwing me off is I haven't made it through the lime build up on it, so keep that in mind...

Two ordinary rocks... nothing more, nothing less.

Nothing ordinary about anything, but thanks for your opinion.....I added another pic of the first one so you can see why I said effigy pipe

those holes appear natural on the first, maybe from fossils or something along those lines. second looks like a long skinny rock. no evidence of man working on either of these as far as I can tell.

Welcome to the forum, .. You have found two interesting rocks. I make a collection of the unusual rocks I find in the form of a rock garden. Mother Nature makes some fascinating rocks for sure.

I agree, cause I have a couple of flower beds that look just great with all those mother nature gems:laughing7:

Welcome to TreasureNet

They look natural to me, but what do I know....
You might try posting in the Rocks & Gems forum

Natural in my opinion. No signs of having been worked by man.
