I have a whites XLT detector I have found plenty of stuff with it .I use it in parks and the beach. The XLT does not like salt wet sand so I have to stay in dry sand on the beach.I use a few custom programs on the XLT.One thing I dont like on the XLT is that it has way to many adjustment settings .I always have to go to the owners manual to remember what some of the settings are and how they effect the detector performance.Im thinking of getting an Explorer SE, do you think its a good choice. Is the Explorer user friendly

Thanks 2MH

That depends on what you call user friendly. The SE has lots more adjustments than the lil XLT and for some there is a long learning curve.

The SE does not have to be tweaked for great performance. If you beach hunt the transition will be quite easy.
