I would like to know if the pin attachments on the back place the pin nearest the edge(reverse)in alignment with the top of the head(obverse)

if so...I'm ok with guessing a brooch...victorian era

I"m inclined to think it is a Rosette as GatorBoy says. My only concern is the shape. Most rosettes are round and this is cameo shaped. Bigfoot1, I have asked my daughter to give me the dimensions of it and also the location of the pin attachment. Will update when I get the information. But Thanks everyone for your input
