I was out detecting today at one of my favorite 1830s Seminole War forts here in Florida. I did find a lot of artifacts today but this one has me stumped. I was resting at the fort level of artifacts. Any ideas would be very appreciated. Thanks for your comments! Is it hollow like the top of a canteen? or solid?

Kind of looks like a decorative ox horn knob to me. vintage-brass-oxen-ox-horn-caps-cow-steer-knobs-farm_1_e8e9a252339047e98d59920b8509101b.webp
