You haven't suspected your house of being haunted, have you?

LOL No, but I do hear my name called when I am vacuuming ;)

It looks pretty crude for a grave marker. Maybe somebody pouured concrete and scratched the date in it. I've seen that at plenty of houses.

And if it IS a grave marker... Who ya gonna call?

Could be an old address marker or boundary marker or for a pet. Then again it could be a grave marker for a human. I guess you tried finding the missing pieces to it already? Here is a good little read concerning cement grave stones- A Grave Interest: What Do Cement Grave Markers Tell Us?

By the way, nice finds. Are the spoon and the lipstick tube sterling?

The spoon is Rogers Bros...plated. The other thing I thought was maybe a perfume atomizer (you called it a lipstick tube). It is not stamped 925...it does have raised markings, not indented. I will take a pic and post.

I agree someone used their finger (or stick) to put a date in wet Cement.
there is at least one old date on my sidewalk & maybe initials somewhere yet.
however

Considering the design, Possibly a corner stone.

But not a grave marker unless it was the Kids Frog

Welcome to T Net, you have some interesting finds. I see what looks like a cast iron WWI soldier shooting a water cooled machine gun, a terret, which is a rein guide on a driven horse,
a clay pipe in good condition, and best of all, a striker for a flint and steel fire set. First photo shows the location of the terret on the harness, and the second shows several flint and steel
strikers.

I thought maybe the striker was a dresser drawer handle....how do we found out for sure?

To make sparks, it has to be steel, if it's brass or other soft metal, then you are no doubt right.

Looks like a WW1 die cast soldier similar to this one-

Or what BosnMate said in reply number 8- "a cast iron WWI soldier shooting a water cooled machine gun"
