Well after reading the post before about Minelab customer service I was a
worried about my Etrac I just sent in for repairs.
I sent it out last week, and was told that it would get to them on
Wednesday the 27th. I checked the UPS tracking number, and saw that it
had been delivered, and I thought I would wait about a week to contact them
and have them ship my Etrac to my business instead of my house.
Well at tonight at 8 pm est I get a call at my home, and it was from
Trina from Minelab. She was giving me a curtsy phone call telling me that
they have my Etrac in house and that the "normal" in house time right now
is running about 15 days. But, that the tech's are working a lot of overtime
right now,and that they hope to cut that time " in half ".
I am blown out of the water with this phone call, and could not be happier.
We get the new shipping address down, and I again tell her my trouble with
my pinpoint, and depth of the Etrac. Trina tells me she is making a note and would
get it to the tech's right away, and they would call or send me a email telling me
what they have found out.
So, after reading about people having such a hard time about the service I
wanted to tell what has happened to me. I will keep you posted on how it all works
out. I for one am very happy so far with everything that has taken place.
I have been in business for almost 28 years, and know sometimes it's not what
happens to our customers, but how things happen that leave the most lasting
impressions.
I hope everyone has a nice night, and that the snow melts fast so, we can go out
and find the good stuff the others leave behind.

Ok here is the update. I come home from work tonight and check my email to find
this "wonderful" email.
Hello Mr. Magara,
Sorry you had a problem with the Etrac.
I have checked your unit and have replaced the printed circuit boards in your unit. You should not have anymore problems with
the pinpoint operation.
Hopefully it will ship tomorrow.
Best Wishes,
Now this is what I call service!!! They got my Etrac last week, and get the call from Trina
at 8pm est Thursday. Today is Monday!! and the Etrac is fixed and going to ship
tomorrow.
This is "3" business days!!
For me this is the kind of service that makes me very happy I got my Etrac.
And for the one person who replied to my post. Yes, I am easy to buy
for at Christmas time .
I hope everyone has a nice night, and soon the snow will be gone so we
can go find the goodies the other machines leave behind.
