But does anyone know from what kind of guitar? 20160809_091713.webp20160809_091803.webp

Looks like tuning heads to a Classical guitar .

Looks like it might have been in a fire. A lot of instrument makers did not make their own hardware, so it may be hard to tell the maker. Tony

I don't know if it is burnt, I found it metal detecting my backyard.

They are called Guitar Strip Tuners.
Waverly and Kluson types are very common, but there are a lot of different designs & artwork.
If you can find a Waverly catalog from the 1930's, I think you might be able to find it.
But that's just a hunch on my part.

My brother knows a lot more about antique guitars (guitars in general, and can pretty much play anything with strings).
Unfortunately, he's overseas and not available to ask...

I do know you can rule out a lot of close designs by paying attention to which way the threads winds, and which side of the turret they're on.
I'm guessing your strip tuner is out of a six-string acoustic guitar. (not another instrument), but I realize that doesn't determine the origin very much.
Someone here might know for sure, or ask around some of the antique guitar restoration forums (?) Good luck.
