And boy did my trunk ever appreciate it....my car trunk. :)

Dropped off just shy of 90,000 coins. Always fun when you have to make 5 or 6 trips to the car to get all the bags. :)

I didn't quite meet a few goals that I might have had I had tried to pick stuff up, but figured this way I have cleaned the decks and prepared for the new year. Techincally I still have to search through all my loose change for the year that I have just been throwing in a container, but I don't expect more than a few wheat pennies and a couple pre-1960 nickels in there.

Even made a little money on the deal due to a machine malfunction (misalignment causing coins to not be counted and instead go into an area of the machine that is not accessible.) The lady at the bank just handed me all the change she found when she opened it up and said "Merry Christmas!" Probably like $20 or so along with a few foreign coins.

I also got a chance to talk to the Brinks man for a bit as he waited for me to fill up the bin before he took it. I showed up right as he was there for a scheduled pickup. I asked him if many people cashed in lots of half dollars and he said No, but once in a while he heard the guys in the coin room complain about them because they had to hand sort the halves as they didn't run through the coin machine they had in the back room. I asked if they were allowed to exchange them if they saw any they wanted. He said he didn't think so as they weren't even allowed to take the Laundry Tokens that had zero monetary value.

Happy New Year! And may the next year be better than this one! I'll post my end of year results later...almost done :)

Only do Halves myself, so my thinking is in that vein- when you said 90K Coins my mind just went wild, you'd need a CDL to get that many to the Bank, and, and,......... , well they aren't all halves anyway, still wish could of seen picture of that load.

That's biggest dump I've ever heard of. You should get a banner for that. Or maybe we could create a new award.
How about the Ex-Lax award :laughing7:

Thanks, Rich... I was just thinking of what a unique title that was to a thread...

Not sure that it deserves the banner, but I was thinking maybe the "Copper Nickel Plunger" award...
