Man I really, really miss the Great Southern Beach Shootout that was held in Daytona every year.... I was only able to hit the last 4 but man were they fun........

Silver coins, gold coins, silver rings, silver bars, tokens for cash prizes. Lots of cash prizes including 5 grand for top prize lots of top dollar detectors were prizes also. Top dollar detectors for raffles as well....

I made every event they had along with Ken and an old friend that passed away, Arthur Pourciau. Payton, his wife and all that group did a fantastic job. One year Mumzie was taking pictures of some of the winners.

Stuff like this makes me wish I had gotten the chance to get into this hobby at a younger age. I guess it's the memories of spending time with hunting buddies and being outdoors that I enjoy the most about metal detecting.
