I would appreciate any help identifying this item. It says the star on the side and on the inside is a patent date of Dec. 24, '98. It looks like some type of clip.THANKS! Thanks all for the input! Good to know what it is, a collar clip.

man, a guy brought one in on the show Pawn Stars. Has something to do with clothing. Like keeping old separate collars for shirts on ?? Owner thought it was for hiding cards up your sleeve
