I have a WWI real picture post card I need to list.

I typically take REALLY good pics, and almost always use all 12 pics in my listing.

My fear is that someone will lift the image, and instead of bidding on it, will copy it for their own use.

I don't know how to add a watermark to the image. (I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this computer stuff, LOL.)

I was thinking about laying a pencil over the image in all of my 12 listing pictures.

Thoughts??

Ideas??

Suggestions??

How about a card in the picture with your seller name in large black letters?

I like that idea, put a card with your seller name on top of the picture, and on each photo you take put the card in a different place so people can see that the original picture is OK, and you aren't covering up a defect. Some person handy with photo shop could defeat that, but I think they could defeat a water mark if they were really motivated. You've got me interested, I'd like to see the photo.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. As a postcard collector myself, a copied photo of your postcard wouldn't mean squat to me or any other postcard collector. You can add a watermark via ebay but it shows at the very bottom of the photo, so it's kind of useless. I do know sellers who sell actual photos sometimes mark the face of the photos so they can't be lifted. But to me a copied photo is just that... a copy.
