I was dumping a half dollar box at a local bank this morning when I overheard the man ahead of me in line say, "I just want to get rid of them." "Them" were two dollar bills! I got the same teller and asked if the man had just sold two dollar bills. "Yes." "How old?" "Old, with red seals." "Can I buy them?" "Sure!" That is how I got $90 in two dollar bills from 1928-63 and a handful of fives, same range. One run of three has consecutive serial numbers and another pair does as well. Those are crisp!

Silver Certificates!!! :headbang:

Not exactly. Silver Certificates were blue print, Gold notes were gold print. These in red print are United States Notes, not Federal Reserve Notes

Wow way to keep your ears open. Opportunities like that only knock every blue moon. Congratulations
