A farmhouse dated 1727-1740 produced a nice smooth copper for my scrutiny. I thought it was a modern cent since it only rang in around 78-81 on my VDI. To my surprise it was a large copper. It is scaled, corroded, beaten, neglected, worn, beaten, and faded beyond what I could imagine, but I seem to see a left facing Georgie....
27.5mm, 5.7 grams. Maybe a counter. It's getting a bath right now but I will post something picture wise tonight. I figure the weight it f-d from corrosion.
