Found this piece in a wooded area along a lake where Indians were known to be many thousands of years ago. From what I can tell it has to be a piece of copper culture. It is solid copper and just over 9 inches long. It is also blunt on one end and very pointed on the other. I have no idea what it would have been used for, so if anyone could give me some more information on this item that would be great! Thanks for looking!

Also keep an eye out for finding the small flattened pieces of copper in the surrounding area. Anything green off of land, post it.

What would the small flatted pieces of copper be?

thanks for the info Patina, dont know what they would do with such small pieces other than jewelery, but dont hear much of that being found, from their time period
