When I go to yard sales I always ask about old coins. Sometimes they will run inside and bring out a small box or jar full of coins. I am putting together a junk drawer auction on ebay and this coin was in the bunch I was going to photograph. I picked it up and decided it was interesting enough to research. I know I bought it in a bulk purchase but do not remember when or how much.
It is a copper Uruguay 1844 - 40 Centésimos coin with asking prices between $359 and $19,000.
Here are three I found:
Uruguay 1844 - 40 Centésimos - - 39 mm - KM# 3 - Variant SA 6.8.1 | eBay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Uruguay-40...18-/172146705562?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
I know I will not even get close to the higher prices. Any suggestions? Should I spend the money and get it slabbed?
I showed my wife and she told me to clean it. (she has no idea)
