I thought it was a token!

I thought it was a token and destroyed it I should say! I couldn't read what it was without my loop which was in my truck. I noticed it had a small crack in it and rather than wait till I got to the truck, I tried to bend it to see if it was silver. That's when it broke in two. That's right, an 1852 three cent piece. Tell me it's a counterfeit so I feel better! It's not like I ever broke a dime in two with my finger's before! I can't believe how small it is for a US coin. I also found an 1855 large cent which made me feel a little better. I glued it back together and put it in a jacket so I can at least say I found a three cent piece before. Good Hunting.

Seen plenty of half dimes before but that's the first half trime Ive ever seen...and you found two of them...unreal.

You know I really wasn't paying attention to the numbers. I was in the woods near what I think was an old homesite so I was digging anything deep and not iron.
