Like off the Patriot movie?? I guess it's just a wood splitter. IMG_20210108_154654.webpIMG_20210108_154659.webp

Too skinny for a splitting wedge. It looks like a caulking iron used to caulk seams in wooden boats. Do you live near a larger body of water??

I don't think tomahawks were made of metal, just stone, rope, and wood.

It depends on the time period. I’ve found both flint and iron tomahawks.

Looks like a corking iron to me. NO I did not spell that wrong. : ) I learned to use one to push caulking into the seams on a boat, while working with an old Shipwright. If he called it a corking iron, for me, that is what it is. I think that is what you have there. Nice find! Smiling, George.

I see where you are going... "pitch tool".

Shipwrights Caulking Iron... I would go with that guess... looks the part.
