Detector(s) used
Tesoro Silver Sabre, Tesoro Lobo Super Traq
Was at my stepfather's for memorial day, first one without mom. She passed last august. Anyhow,
we, as a family have stuck together well and had about 30 people for a bbq. I had remembered seeing
an old MD in his garage probably 10 years back. Looked around and didn't see it so I asked him if
he still had it. Yeppers, pulled it off the wall in a corner I had missed. A Tesoro Silver Sabre he bought
at a yard sale years ago for $15. The machine is in great condition appearance wise. He was excited to
fire it up and ran through his house and dug out the 6 batteries for it. I have played with it a little
since last night. Played with discrimination and some regular coins and some silver coins. I hope it
can discriminate gold, but I'm assuming the silver sabre part means that it is geared more towards
silver. Anyway, just wanted to share my cool score. If anyone has a link to the older operators manual
I'd really like to read up on this machine. Thanx in advance.

Jack check Tesoros web site the may have downloads for manuals. God Bless!!! Bill

Yes sir if you go to www.tesoro.com and click on manuals it is there to read or print....

Hi Jack, I had a Tesoro Silver Sabre once, it was one of the best detectors that I have ever had & I have had a number of them. Wish I would of kept the one I had. Steve.

I've hit 3 parks and found about $1.57 in coins. I'm addicted already  This Sabre is nice
little detector. Found a tiny little pewter pendant with a pink glass gem in it. Can't wait to find my first
gold ring or silver piece. Happy hunting all and thanx for inspiring me to get into this hobby.

If I am not using discriminate I can pick up aluminum cans at over 12" deep with my sabre. Not that
I want to dig them up lol. I went to the beach this last weekend and got signals that I dug over 16"
deep and gave up, figuring it was a burried cable or something. Plus the ground water kept filling
my hole. Still impressed with my machine. I would like a machine with the same ability including
the tonal change for different metals though. I still think the Tesoro Supertraq will be my all around
tool for me personally. I like to coin hunt and prospect.

sounds like the bug has bitten you .......have fun ,sounds like you got a great working machine.Happy Hunting :icon_thumleft:
