I put in a decent effort to get my first gold for 2014. Today was not the day... definitely hitting this park again. Does this picture show diligence or insanity?:dontknow:

thank you for cleaning up our environment!
keep looking and your gold will come, as I am still looking for my first as well....HH!

I hit a park today and found about as much as your pull tabs, except in can slaw. I did find a little over $2 in clad though, so at least that was something. Just curious... Do you guys ever go back over the same trashy spot at later date, as the trash gets thinner, maybe the good stuff will come to the surface? There was an area by train tracks that was really trashy and I skipped over many signals that were probably foil and iron. I wonder now what I may have missed there? I also wonder if little bits of gold could be in there skipped over by all the detectorists like myself who were too lazy to dig every signal, trash or not.

Seeing all of the old Pull tabs I would Hit that Area Hard, Just go the Other Direction Grid It HH Chug Diligent insanity LOL

My local silver producing park will net you at least that many pulltabs every single day if you're willing to dig them. Still haven't found any gold there yet but I will!

One does NOT have to be insane to dig that many pull tabs. (but it helps! LOL )

At least you take them with you!

Stay the course!

At $1.90 a pound, if you save them up, I think it takes about 1200 to make a pound.
