I was just flabbergasted.

A commendable feat! Its not surprising that such a fine person (you!) would be amongst us here at TNet... I've been grateful to to be involved with such a knowledgeable group, and its great to have you here!

Hello, NHbenz,

Thanks for the complement. And I do enjoy this Tnet with so much good stuff to see and read.

Hopefully, by next week, I'll be able to start posting pictures on here. So far, I haven't quite figured it out so I
Will have someone here to show me how to do it.lol

Hey Ray!
Congratulations!
;D

I remember being a boy of 10 or 12 years old, one of my Great Uncles explained fraternal organizations to me . He let me know that a man had to be INVITED into the organization, NOMINATED by a peer and
that stuck with me.

If all of your Buddies pick you up and put you in a position like that,
Well, we can all be pretty sure it's not for no reason.

Congrats again and pass it on Ray!

Sorry Ray,
I didn't read the whole post.
Perhaps an invite wasn't as necessary as my great-uncle had me to believe.
but :coffee2: Cheers Baby!

Hello there oledavidboy,

Yes the masons are all in there because they ask to join and want to have an active part in their activities. They enjoy
being involved and take pride in being a member.

Thanks for your response.

;D :coffee2: :tongue3:  STARBUCKS! and THEN, "google"... MASONIC GEOCACHING SOCIETY. :coffee2: :tongue3:

Greetings, Rebel - KGC,

Thanks for the response. It's always great to hear from a brother. And congrats to you for your 25 year pin. That's
a long time. I want to thank you for the two websites you wrote about. They look very interresting and I will definitely
check them out. Always interested in learning something new about the craft. I am senior Deacon this year and will be
taking the Jr warden's chair this coming year. Am having a great time with it.

Thanks again,

Ray

:coffee2:  ;D Bro., I ALSO started out as SD, went "up the line". Quite an honor to be WM. ;D  Became 32nd (AASR), Shriner, NOW in YR - RA... and research TREASURE HUNTING. ;D There are good forums for FreeMasons, on the "net"; MY "fave" is FREEMASON PRIDE. Have RA, tonight; gonna give THEM, info about MASONIC GEOCACHING... gonna make treasure hunters, "out of 'em, YET!" :D

Congratulations!

:D Most Excellent did advise members of the Chapter, that a researcher DID approach members regarding the Beale Treasure, years ago... we ALL had a JOLLY good laugh at THAT! :D

Thanks, Pepper, for your response. I appreciate it.

Rebel - KGC, I'll have to check out that forum, Freemason Pride, that you mentioned. How did you make out at the RA
with telling them about Masonic Geocaching? Any kind of dcent response? I joined RA in Feb. 2008. Right after I joined, the 2nd M had a medical problem and was to be off for a while , so I filled in for him. It lasted all year. Now I"m in
the next chair up. The same thing happened when I first joined the Lodge. At election of Officers for 2007 I accepted
a steward chair. In about the middle of the year our JD dropped out because of a major personal problem. They asked me
if I would fill in for him. So that put me up to the SD's chair for this year. Have really enjoyed doing this chair and wouldn't mind doing it for another year, but, have accepted the JW chair so I don't break the orderly climb to the top.
Needless to say I've been doing a lot of studying to keep on top of it all. We have had 7 or 8 guys join since I started
so have done several degrees. That really adds to the fun.

Not sure just what this "Beale Treasure" is that you mentioned. I've seen refference to it on here a few times but don't
really know anything about it, whether it's real or imaginary.

This has gotten a little longer than I meant it to be, so I'll sign off now,

Wishing you happy hunting,

Ray

;D One member wanted SEVERAL copies of my info on "geocaching" ;D . I "fill in" PS - RA/YR. :D  NO ONE is "sure" of the Beale Treasure... :D  :-X

Hello, Rebel - KGC,

A note to let you know I'm registered on that "Freemason Pride" now, under Ray S.S. Still have to check more into the
"geocashing" thing. Having problems with this computer and the best guy to work on it is leaving on 2 week vacation.
Anyway, thanks for letting me know about these sites.

Rebel

Forgot to mention. We did a double FC degree on the 18th and have a MM degree tonight. Dec. is a pretty busy month so
we usually do no degrees with installation of officers along with other things always going on. This will be my last degree to do as SW. It's been a good year with the lodge and have enjoyed doing the duties of the chair, but it's time
to advance to JW. There are 3 other lodges that we intermingle with and that makes for alot of good times.
