Ice formations along the creek

I finally stopped last Sunday and took these pics of icicles hanging from the cliffs along a creek.

I have been wanting to get these pics for the past few years. They are all but gone now so I am glad I got to shoot em.

I think it is just runoff. There are lots of these here in WV. This is a big one though.
 
Those are some pretty thick icecles. They would be interesting to see close-up
 
Looks like frozen ghosts about to pounce on anyone who hunts their frozen tundra........NGE

I love this wonderful site simply because I get to view pictures of landscapes I would otherwise never see !! Thanks for sharing this great pic :thumbsup:

OOps ! Brain fart. Somehow thought they where your shots Jim. I retract my BIG SKY assertion and would like to offer my sincere apologies to all the good citizens of the great state of Montana.I would also add that West Virginia is a great state as well and I did not mean to offend anyone from various............. :tard:

If they gang up on you just throw out a dig at Ct (its easy to do). Then all will be right with the world. ;D


MEinWV - Great shots, thanks for sharing. I've got a few places similar that I'd like to get back to with the camera before the final melt.
