Ice hunt

The nice thing about hunting in 40 mph winds and ice everywhere is ...NOTHING! However it still beats sitting at home so I went anyways , the tide was super low but the ice had most of the good spots covered but did manage 2 quartz points.
Sorry for poor pics I took my 11 year old nephew with me and decided to give him the points so I just snapped a few quick pics before I left for home.

The bigger one is a nice crystal quartz and has a needle tip on it
The other one is a tiny bird point less than 1” in length.

Yeah it was pretty cold , that wind cuts rite thru the layers of clothes I was surprised my nephew lasted as long as he did figured he deserved the points

Cool hunt ! It is great to be able to get out in memorable conditions, and find some points. I like the clear one with the "fishtaily" looking base, not sure what to call that one but I like it, and am sure your nephew does too.

Haha .... yeah that’s pretty cold you may have to close the windows at night .... I woke up to a nice 18 degrees morning wouldn’t be too bad if I didn’t work 30 ft in the air (utility worker) but could always be worse I can’t imagine how cold Chicago or Wisconsin is today.
