I'd be "LION" if I told you I knew what it was !!

Found in lawn of colonial home ... maybe 200 year old home. Appears made of lead with a hollow inside .... ideas?

Very Nice find, would love to find something like that. I would say its probably some kind of sculpture and would take it to a antique dealer. GREAT FIND

pretty cool find. at first i was thinking a door knocker until i saw the size. now im thinking a drawer pull or something along those lines.

I have a mantel clock from the 1880's that has lion heads
on each end of it. Each head has a ring in the mouth for
handles to pick it up. The heads are about the same size
as yours. Just my two cents worth.
