All Treasure Hunting
It is hollow on inside yet heavy and thick metal. Got some age for sure and with the two holes across from one another, around base, it may have capped something?
I love finding these old, insignificant and worthless old treasures!
what the heck is it?

I think we’re all on to it. It appears to be the foot of something but heck so many things have feet so who knows. I’ve seen tables with them, old dressers, surveyors tripod, tent stake pretty much a huge list

Don't be surprised :laughing7: . . .we all know it's probably some type of foot.

It's good to be missed. Thanks for asking. I've been here, there, and everywhere. On December 29th, I had a massive heart attack due to a 99% blockage in the 'widowmaker' artery and within 8 minutes my local hospital had me via ambulance on the way to Duke (the leading heart hospital in the US.) Since I have a good diet, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc, the docs said it was hereditary. (Thanks Daddy) Duke put in a stent, and now I'm in Cardiac Rehab 3 days a week. So slowly, but surely I'll be back swinging my metal detector soon! :)

Well sorry to hear that. It’s good to hear you’re back on your feet and will be able to be back detecting soon.

Breezie, sorry to hear of your health issues, but it sounds as though you are well on your way to a Full Recovery. It sounds as though you have taken care of yourself, and when the unexpected happens it helps us bounce back much sooner than if we weren't healthy before an incident occurs. Take care, and God's Speed to you. You'll be back swinging the coil before you know it.

I think it's a parasol topper. Maybe as old as mid 19th C. You can see the wear on one side from use as a walking stick.
