Hi,
I can't remember where I found this, I think it was in a box full of old coins long ago, but I can't find anything out about it at all. one side looks like the words I STAT PKN and the other side looks like EIN BEGR with some device in the middle. maybe a crown or a E if you look at it sideways. Maybe German with the EIN? no date, size is about 14.7mm and really thin. reminds me of the size of the real late roman bronzes in size and thickness, but I figure it is much later. The scans did not do much good, but it's as good as this scanner can get on a small coin. any ideas? Thanks!!

This looks Germanic and 1600s or earlier. It reminds me of a Heller.

The PKN actually may be PFN for pfennig. The Ein Begr could be Ein Berg for the medieval territory of Berg in north Rhine-Westphalia area. I couldn't find an exact match. I will post one later if I find it.

Nice coin!

Moe is correct - late 17th century EINBECK stadtpfennig
