ID help with possible CW "I" button

Hello all, I dug this at an old home site in NC along with some bullets, any info would be appreciated, about the size of a quarter, not sure what I have here. Will do some research, my first CW finds. Thx for looking, GL and HH

GREAT BUTTON!!!! That is a confederate Infantry button!
