I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas on these. I found all three of these within 20' of each other on the same day back in Nov. The first I'm thinking is a large blade?(me holding & 1 with ruler) The other is what I have been told is a cache blade?(in situ) Then finally is what looks to me like it's a pestle for grinding of some sorts (in situ & with ruler) but I don't think I've ever seen 1 like it before. but if you put it in your hand it just fits.
Thanks for any comments in advance. 8)

Interesting items. I'd call the first artifact a knife or possibly a preform. It does seem a little thick. Is it?
The second artifact does appear to be a blade or knife. I don't know if I'd call it a cache blade.
(maybe if I found it with several more similiar to it)
Artifact three i'm not sure about. I think it might just be an interesting piece of flint.
Just my opinion or best guesses.
That secod blade is kind of cool,do you have a close up,or another pic. of it., unitas

Thanks 4 the advice. Here are some better pics. :) Starting with the blade?knife? & pestle?the knife is pretty thick! & the reason I was thinking that was a pestle is because it just seems to weird of a shape to be an accident ? I guess stranger things happen. Do these help?
Thanks :)

That's not a pestle, it's just a cobble of flint. Before they used it both ends were probably nodular.

What is a cobble of flint & who used it & for what? Would it even be a native American artifact? Is it rare I've never seen anything like what you described?
Thanks Phil

Thanks for the new pics. A cobble of flint just means that it's a flint rock. Any unworked piece of flint found could be described as a flint cobble. I do not think it's an artifact.
After getting the new pics I would probably classify the first two as prefoms if I had found them. Happy hunting,We just had a foot of snow here,I think I may have to wait awhile here.
