Found this little object while magnet fishing off a dock in a small river. Thought it looked like some sort of pellet or small bullet. Maybe those with more experience can tell me. Ive been magnet fishing only about two weeks.

Sure looks like some type of Rivet. Maybe a steel boat rivet ?

Appears to be a scythe blade missing the handle

The rivet looking thing does look like a rivet. Could be the little thingy that goes on the end of some control cables to secure it in a slot or recess.Think throttle cable maybe! Scythe blade is a good guess on the blade thingy.

Looks like the sugar cane knife, really more of a machete/blade, that my grandfather had in 1900 or so.

Definitely a scythe blade.. I have too many hours on those things to ever forget what they look like

Before welding became popular a lot of small boats were put together with pitch or tar as a sealer between metals and they were riveted together
