Vldetecting

I have posted this ring on the forum before but I didn't get any good answer so I'm posting this again. I found this ring while Metal Detecting. Here are the photos:

I Strongly believe that this is Medieval cause I have researched the area and found a couple of Ancient Monuments around the area, including one settlement in an mile range from where I detected. The ring has some kind of X looking pattern (stands for 'gift', in Nordic Viking Ruins Language). I also accidentally 'scratched' the ring a little bit and some flaking came off and this white looking material is under the flaking:

I have searched a lot on the internet and not found any identical or any very good information so if you know something that could be helpful for identification please let me know!
