Found in northeast Texas. A gigantic tree fell over into a creek hundreds of thousands of years ago. The middle of this tree was cracked open and I found a bunch of crystals. I have lived in the area all my life (30yrs) and have never seen petrified wood like this before. The mineral looks silky and shiny in appearance and is pretty dense. It can also be scratched fairly easy with a nail. Some areas of the crystals have a yellow hue to them. Also (as seen in pics) some places have a metallic silver luster. Any feed back is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Luna. CE6366ED-39C4-4CFE-B5C5-9F16CE59D144.webp
