Can anyone assist me in identifying this rock that I found? It wasn’t buried in the dirt at all and wasn’t very dirty whenever I found it. It is extremely magnetic and seems to boast some small yellow greenish crystals in the most magnetic part of the rock when examined up close. I even used a diamond tester on it and it pegged out all the way when I held it on this very shiny spot on the rock.
It almost seems to have a bit off smelted rock on one side. Sort of like a fusion crust of sorts. It has a lot of different characteristics that are hard to identify. It really doesn’t look like anything that I’ve ever seen. And I can’t seem to find anything like it on the internet.
I posted a ton of pictures (some under a jewelers loupe).
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

That’s an unusual one! Pegmatite maybe? Just a wild guess.

Its more than likely a slag/man made material. Those round bubble holes are a tell tale sign.

Thank you for the responses. I have been trying to do my own research for about a year now and finally decided to post online about it. I also thought maybe this is just industrial slag of some sort. I just wish I could find some photos showing something similar.
The diamond test is what is confusing me. As well as the crystals imbedded in the iron baring parts.
The little kid in me wants it to be an extra terrestrial visitor so badly.

I even saw some things online recently about boomerang meteorites. And the photos of this one remind me of my rock quite a bit. They share similarities with the fusion crust appearance. I’ll post a comparison photo of that as well.

Looks like an ore to me, I can see copper in it, The little green spots surrounding a piece of metal are pieces of copper.

I thought it was very ore like at first as well. Copper was definitely one of my top guesses. But I just don’t see a complete resemblance.
And which green spots do you mean? The ones with a bluish hue to them that sort of look like chondrules?

-Thank you for the reply.

Diamond testers are unreliable for rough rocks and are meant for polished cut/flat surfaces, your better off seeing if it can scratch a piece of Quartz if you have one.

If you really feel its a meteorite you should see if a local college's geology dept will have a look at for you.

Looks like a fire brick with slag attached to it. Probably came out of a smelter.
