If my Grandfather was here , I'd give him a hug !!!

I went back out to one of my grandfathers "spots" yesterday. I had another great day, just a walkin and pickin up rocks,it was windy though. To top it all off ,2 of my nephews ,19 & 22, have gotten wind of my recent finds,,, and guess what , now they want to go !! and are planning to get down before the snow flies. I already spoke with the landowners, and they can't wait to met 2 of "Bubba's " Great Grandson's, I'm pretty sure he would be real proud to know another generation of his, is hunting the same ground. Hopefully,when the time comes,they will take their children. wishing everyone a great day !!

Awesome finds, and if you're like me, the fact the site is associated with your grandfather makes it extra special. My grandfather passed away over 40 years ago and I still miss the man. Memories of him are my very best ones. Thank you for sharing with us.

Thanks or all the replies !! Having no kids of my own I've been waiting for the nephews to show some interest, I have most of a lifetime of searching out places,, ie: Bottles,coins,gold,gold mines,arrowheads (some of my own spots,and alot of my grandfathers) ,crystals,etc,etc. Can't wait to share 40 years of roamin the Rockies with them. Then when I'm old and in the rocking chair,all I ask is ,that they stop by with their show & tell !
