These are my finds the last 2 times out. Photo #1, I don't know what the pointy things are. They are 1 1/4" square and 7" long.
2nd photo the fat cartridge on the left is stamped WRA Co. 40-60 WCF.
3rd photo, I redug one of the first lumber camps that got me started. The first time there was Nov 22 1972 on a snowy day. Being inexperienced I missed a lot as you can see.
4th photo came from the same camp. It is part of a razor embossed with, KAMPEE BROS., numerous awards, premiums and medals New York USA

Looks like some .30-30 cartrudges or one of it's variations, and a couple more modern cases, Teeth from a farm machine? And whatever? Nice stuff though. Monty

Nothing wrong with iron

Wrote one post to yours, but it was intercepted....by several other posts. So, "tash han ban." (Korean: do again.)
Those are a nice assortment of finds. What part of the world are you hunting in? I am originally from
the northwest, Oregon. My Dad was in the mts in some semi-permanent lumber camps, working with another guy
on a double crosscut saw. I know that those old camps would hold a massive amount of artifacts.
Way to go!!!

Looks like you stole stuff off the set of Hellraiser. Me like.

Yeah, they are the ever popular ox shoes. Hikeinmts, I'm in Penna and speaking of crosscut saws I dug one up today and sliced my finger pretty bad on it. Bled real bad and since it was on my digging hand, I got it full of dirt. Been soaking it in peroxide all night trying to get the dirt out. Left the saw in the woods cause it was in bad shape.

Terrific relics, LC! I dug up a good old chain a couple of weeks ago and thought about all those you've dug up. It's not a logging chain, but it was the best one I've ever dug.

Congrats on the finds and hope your finger heals up quickly. :)

The pointy things are iron pegs for holding barn beams together. I have them in my barn. They replaced the wooden pegs that were used on the older barns. Nice stuff.

Nothing wrong with diggin Historic Iron. I'm happy digging that, but an old coin or button doesn't hurt either ;D

nice double axe head. clean it up a bit and put a new hickory handle, then sell as a antique.

great finds
