I’ll let the masters decide if it’s a “Banner” find.

Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I’ve been on this site since day one of my career searching for only one silver. I say only one, because the son of our neighbor (who got me into detecting) has always said good luck! After multiple rings, clad coins, a token, nails, a few wheaties and other oddball finds, I finally stumbled across this dandy. Now I just need to figure out how to clean it. It’s the oldest coin I’ve come across in my almost one year into detecting. Thanks for leaving it behind LT! Your father is looking down at both of us grinning ear to ear on this one!!

Is this a coin or a button ?
congrats on your find though :)

I'm not a 'master' but I'll put in the BANNER vote.
If the PCGS population is only 14 for this coin, you may have a $5K+ coin.
Truly, a once in a lifetime find; congrats !!

Nice find. Hope it’s authentic.

Yes... and beings its a copy... its a "cool" find... but doesnt take it above that.
and in the grand scheme of banner finds... this would not really count so much.

Now... this could be a very debatable subject.... and probably will.

Nice find. Hope it’s authentic.
I hope it’s authentic too. The site housed a church that was originally built in 1848 by settlers that moved in around 1833. This one could have paid off my Nox 800!

Its is not.
As Alabama Relic posted... it is clearly marked "COPY".
Which means / likely... was produced sometime in the last 40 years.

It’s a copy. Says copy on it in the first picture.
Dang! So excited that was overlook. You just curbed my enthusiasm! But thank you! That’s why I posted it on here, for the masters to look at!

Does anyone know the history of when and where these look-a-likes were created? Still haven’t found that detail on the net.

This would be difficult if not impossible to say.

There's not too much as you stated.
But a person can still buy them.

Maybe he's also a sarcastic son of B*&#h:icon_jokercolor:
